Every day, in our rural corner of Guatemala, there are individuals and families facing immense challenges. Whether it's a child with disabilities in need of specialized medical care or communities struggling with poverty, our mission is to be bring hope and support to local communities where quality roads and reliable transportation services don't exist.
Our services face e a critical obstacle: transportation.
Currently, we rely on fragmented solutions like personal vehicles, which are too small, multiple taxis or hospital ambulances, which not only drain our resources but also fail to meet the urgent needs of those we serve. Families endure hours of grueling travel, often in sweltering heat, just to reach the vital services they require.
That's why we are reaching out to you today with a profound opportunity. We have the chance to acquire a 29 - 33 seat passenger bus that will serve as a lifeline for our Ray of Hope families (families with children who have disabilities) and the safe travel of our mission teams serving communities in our rugged mountainous terrain. This bus is much more mere transportation, it is a lifeline to critical care and support.
With this bus, we can:
Ensure timely access to medical care for children with disabilities, reducing their suffering and easing the burden on their families.
Empower our mission teams to reach more communities, amplifying the impact of their efforts in community service, kids camps, building homes, serving in local schools and churches, and delivering our volunteer medical staff to communities in the mountains (the mobile medical bus cannot transport teams)
Create sustainable employment opportunities for at least 1-2 local individuals, fostering economic stability and growth within our community.
