We are changing this…

61% of children here in the Western Highlands drop out of school at or before before 6th grade. Indigenous children under five: 70% are stunted; indigenous women's maternal mortality risk is twice that of non-indigenous women

Freedom from poverty’s grip requires basic physical, mental, emotional and Christ-like support to access vital fundamental services.

Too many can’t afford access.

“Poverty doesn’t only consist of being hungry for bread, but it is a tremendous hunger for human dignity.”

Our Service Model : Plan de Vida

The Plan de Vida (life plan) : values based development

The Plan de Vida has 3 Core Objectives with 10 key points of service. It is our service model that acts as a guiding compass, shaping vision, and fortifying faith for generations to come. A life plan gives purpose. The arduous process of changing attitudes and behaviors that rewrite poverty’s narrative begins with discovery of purpose and vision. Our model is a guide that teaches how to be intentional about core life choices and instills confidence to confront fears, break chains and and embrace a path of purpose. The Plan de Vida serves as a compass to create vision, realize potential, and strengthen the resolve to implement goals into the daily routine. It is the process of making disciples.

Teach a man to fish...

When we open the door to an education, we unlock the future for children. Education is the difference between failure and success, health and disease. It is the difference between poverty and plenty. Without an education, health is lost and jobs are hard to come by. Without a job, a mother or father cannot feed their children. They cannot maintain health or economy. When parents cannot support their families, the family unit often breaks up, harmful decisions are made and children end up continuing the cycle of poverty. We start to solve the world’s hunger and poverty crisis by educating as many as we can. It starts with building a capacity to learn.
